What is Free Spirit?: Free Spirit is Spirit Airlines' frequent flier program. Members earn points and redeem them for free flights.
Basic Way to a Free Flight: Free Spirit members get various status levels based on activity. With the basic tier, Somebody level, members earn a percentage of actual miles flown on the seat purchased. Somebody level members can choose among Big Front seat refundable seats (125 percent), Big Front non-refundable seats (100 percent), Deluxe Leather refundable seats (100 percent), and Deluxe Leather non-refundable seats (50 percent).
How Points Are Awarded: Free Spirit members earn a percentage of actual miles flown based on the seat that they choose at the time of purchase. The levels include Somebody, Elite, VIP, A-List and Celebrity. When members complete their flight segment, they are awarded the corresponding flights. In addition, the number one member based on points accrued, will also earn a free Spirit vacation at the end of the calendar year.
How Points Are Redeemed: Members simply log on to their account, click on "Redeem miles for an award ticket," and follow the instructions to redeem their award. There are two types of awards: Early Bird (21 days in advance) and Free Spirit (fly anytime).
