Guide Review - Review of the Arlington Texas Sheraton
The Sheraton in Arlington Texas is a solid bet for business travelers looking for a central location between Dallas and Fort Worth. It’s recently renovated and has nice public spaces and updated rooms. Rooms are relatively standard for an higher-end business hotel, with a good bed, nice windows and curtains, and comfortable work area. The rooms have good desks and ergonomic chairs for good concentration while working. My room was clean and well kept.
Frequent business travelers who are Sheraton Club members can take advantage of the hotel’s Sheraton Club rooms on preferred floors. The Sheraton Club rooms include upgraded amenities, free bottled water, and a free fitness center access. In addition, Sheraton Club members have access to the Club Lounge, along with its free breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres and beverages. In addition, members can also use the lounge's copier/fax/printer and complimentary office supplies.
The Sheraton Arlington is right next door to the Arlington Convention Center and just down the hill from the Texas Rangers' stadium, which means its very easy to take in a ballgame while you’re there. Select rooms have a nice view of the Rangers' stadium.
The hotel's nice, landscaped outdoor pool area, surrounded by grass and trees is a great place for business travelers to escape for a short time. Travelers have a number of exercise options, including the on-site fitness center and the nearby jogging trails (not something I'd try in the middle of the Texas day, though).
The hotel also has a variety of dining options, including both a full-service restaurant (the Cactus Pear), the Market Place (a medium-sized snack shop), and the Agave Lounge bar. Room service is also available until 11pm.
Don’t forget that you need to use your room key to operate the elevator, even if you're not on a special "club" floor. Also, while the hotel provides an airport shuttle, it can take a while depending on the day and time, so if you're in a rush, consider a taxi.
