Definition: TSA, or the Transportation Security Administration, is a government organization that works to protect the nation's transportation systems. Formed immediately following the September 11th attacks, TSA is a part of the Department of Homeland Security, employing 50,000+ persons to keep U.S. highways, railroads, buses, mass transit systems, ports and airports safe for travelers.
