Company Overview:
United Airlines is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and is one of the largest international airline carriers based in the US with over 3,000 flights a day. It is a founding member of Star Alliance, and offers a frequent flier program, Mileage Plus.

Baggage Policies:
For flights purchased after September 16, 2008 for travel before November 9, 2008, a $15 fee for the first checked bag and a $25 fee for the second checked bag apply. After November 10, 2008, the fee for the second checked bag increased to $50. Fees are for each leg of the trip and weight restrictions and additional charges apply.

First class, Business class and Mileage Plus members with status do not pay fees.
