Swine Flu and Business Travel

Tuesday April 28, 2009
I was in China during the SARS outbreak, so I'm in no rush to have another run-in with a potential pandemic. And while I don't do any business in Mexico, I live close enough to the border that friends and family have already started threatening to send face masks to protect me from swine flu. Considering the travel warnings being issued by nations around the world (visit the Air Travel GuideSite for the latest information), I just might tote one along on my next business trip.

Even if you don't have business travel anywhere near hotspot Mexico City, there have been confirmed cases in New York, California, Texas, Kansas, and Ohio, as well as in the U.K., Israel, Canada, New Zealand and Spain - be sure to check with the Centers for Disease Control website for up-to-date information on outbreaks and precautions.
