Travel Advisory - Bangkok Airports Closed

A state of emergency has been declared at both of Bangkok's commercial airports: Suvarnabhumi International Airport will be closed until at least the 29th of November, while Don Mueang Airport will be closed until at least 28th November 2008.

Reports from Thailand's Tourism Minister suggest that the Thai government will soon be flying thousands of stranded tourists and business travelers out of the country using military bases near the nation's capital.

If you were scheduled on a flight, check with your airline's customer service center first, and then start dialing some of the other emergency information centers, listed here:
