Relief from the Holiday Crowds?

Tuesday November 18, 2008
According to a report released today by AAA (read the complete report here), Thanksgiving travel is expected to drop slightly for the first time since 2002. While train and bus reservations are up from last year, both car and airline travel will be down. This should be good news for those of us who have to hit the road for work, but because of fewer available flights, it's likely we won't notice smaller crowds at the airports or onboard.

I'm trying to get my travel done this week so I can stay put over the Thanksgiving holiday - what about you? Will you be on the road for work next week?

Traveling anytme between after Thanksgiving and the new year seems to always be a headache. No matter how hard I try at least one trip always ends up going through Chicago or Denver, where inevitably I get stuck for a significant amount of time. So if I’m going to travel during that time period, I make sure I’m gong through warmer climate airports.
