Switch Flights on Continental Airlines without Standby

Friday May 5, 2006
Continental Airlines has unveiled a new option called same-day confirmed travel. Basically, same-day confirmed travel allows customers to change their flights for a fee of $25 without waiting for stand-by. If there is an available seat on an alternate flight, you can switch seats without waiting. Kudos to Continnental Airlines for taking steps to ensure convenience for its customers.

Actually the kudos go to American Airlines which introduced the $25 flight change option several months ago. Continental is coming late to the party!

You should know for customers booking may only go on standby the day of the reservation and still have to pay the difference in fare. I’m not sure I call that progress.
